What personal information do we collect and how is it used?
You are not required to provide any personal information to us unless you choose to subscribe or register for one of our email newsletters or other services.
Making a Purchase
To book a trip with IRIS Cruise, you must provide us with some personal information such as your name, credit or debit card number and expiration date, billing address, phone number, email address, and the name or names of any companions traveling with you. We require this information to process, execute, and confirm your booking, handle port authority check-in, manage your transaction, and inform you about the status of your booking. If you are booking for one or more other travelers, you will need to ensure that each additional traveler agrees in advance that you may disclose their personal information to us. For your convenience, we provide some booking information to you or other individuals authorized by you to receive that information.
When you book a trip with us, you must provide us with a contact number. We will use this phone number in case we need to notify you of any changes or other issues that may affect your booking or trip, such as changes due to a delay, severe weather, or cancellations. We may use text messaging to provide you with such updates. By providing us with a mobile phone number as a contact for the trip, you agree that you are giving us your express consent to receive calls or text messages from us related to your booking. If you do not wish to receive these trip updates on your mobile phone, please provide us with an alternative phone number.
Online Surveys
We value the opinions and feedback of our members, so we frequently conduct online surveys. Participation in these surveys is optional. Generally, we will aggregate the information we collect and use that information to improve IRIS Cruise services and to develop content, features, and promotions for customers. Survey participants will remain anonymous unless otherwise specified in the survey.
Automatic Session Data Logging
We automatically log general information about customers' computers connecting to the Internet that access our website, which we call "session data." Session data includes information such as device information, IP addresses, operating systems, and browser software information, as well as all activities performed by users while using IRIS Cruise. We collect session data because it helps us analyze information such as what items visitors are most likely to click on, how visitors navigate through the website, how many visitors view various pages on the site, how long visitors stay on the website, and how frequently they visit. It also helps us diagnose problems with our servers and allows us to manage the system more effectively. The visitor's Internet Service Provider (ISP) can be identified from the IP address and the approximate geographical location of their point of connection.
Third-Party Services
We may allow you to access third-party services such as Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, etc. This allows you to share your selected submitted content with those services and import information about your connections on those other services so you can connect with them using our service. Some of those third-party services may also provide us with information from your account there to enhance and personalize your use of IRIS Cruise services. For example, you may allow Facebook to let us know who your Facebook friends are so you can track their activities. You can adjust your Facebook settings at any time to disable this feature by changing your preferences on the website. You may also modify your privacy settings directly with those other services.
Location-Specific Information
If you use our location-enabled products and services, you may provide us with location information. This information may disclose your actual location, such as GPS data, or may not, such as when you provide an address to view hotel options at that location.
Other
Occasionally, we may add or enhance the services available from IRIS Cruise. To the extent that these services are provided and utilized by you, we will use the information you provide to facilitate the requested service. For example, if you send us an email with a question, we will use information such as the email address, name, and nature of your inquiry to respond to your question. We may also store that information to assist us in improving IRIS Cruise services and making them easier to use.
Who Will My Personal Information Be Shared With?
When you book a trip on the IRIS Cruise website, we only provide the necessary personal information to the relevant port authority to successfully complete your travel arrangements. We encourage you to read the privacy statements of all providers as their policies may vary significantly from this privacy policy. We use non-personal information in aggregated form to build higher quality, more useful online services by conducting statistical analyses of the general characteristics and behaviors of our customers and visitors, and by measuring demographic information and preferences related to specific areas on our website.
What Measures Are in Place to Protect Your Information from Loss, Misuse, or Alteration?
Although no website can guarantee complete security, we have implemented administrative, technical, and physical security procedures designed to protect the personal information you provide to us. For instance, only authorized personnel are allowed to access personal information and they may do so only for authorized business functions. Additionally, we use encryption when transmitting your sensitive personal information between your system and ours, and we use firewalls and intrusion detection systems to help prevent unauthorized access to your information. What Other Information Should I Know About My Privacy?
When using IRIS Cruise services, you may find links to third-party websites, apps, and services. Please note that when you click on any of these links, you will be using the website, app, or service of another company. Except as stated herein, we do not share your personal information with those third parties and are not responsible for their security practices. We encourage you to read the privacy statements of all of those websites as their policies may differ significantly from this Privacy Policy. Please be very careful, responsible, and vigilant with this information, especially when you're online.
In addition to the situations described above, we may disclose personal information if required by law, court order, request of government or law enforcement agencies, or if we believe in good faith that such disclosure is necessary or appropriate, including but not limited to protecting the rights or property of IRIS Cruise or its affiliated companies, or when we have reason to believe that disclosure is necessary to identify, contact, or take legal action against anyone who may be causing harm to our rights or property, whether intentionally or unintentionally, or when anyone else may be harmed by such activities.

Identity theft and behaviors currently referred to as "fraud" are a significant concern for us. Protecting information to help safeguard you from identity theft is our top priority.
